Alan McCallum suffers car damage and an early end to his race at the 2015 Runoffs at Daytona International Speedway
Septamber 21-27, 2015
Last September, we wrapped up the year's abbreviated schedule of three SCCA Majors weekends and the 2015 SCCA National Runoffs at Daytona International Raceway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It was a mixed season with three podiums out of six starts, including one 1st Place and two 2nd Place finishes. Unfortunately, we ended the year with a DNF in the final championship race after an on track incident which caused significant front-end damage to the car.
It was not the result we had hoped for, but that's racing. We'll begin the 2016 season with a new front-end and a new engine, so we look forward to being very competitive in 2016. Many thanks to my awesome crew and to all who made the year possible.

It was a great two-day outcome for Alan McCallum at the Circuit de Mayo weekend at MSR Houston. He comes away with back-to-back wins.
May 3-4, 2014
The Circuit de Mayo was held at MSR Houston the weekend of May 3-4, 2014. The regional race weekend attracted some of the fastest cars in FM, including 2013 National Champion Darryl Wills. With Alan, the 2012 National Champion, still holding the track record at MSR from the previous year, and the past two National Champions going head to head, there was a lot of pride at stake going into the weekend.
On Saturday, Alan was quickest in Qualifying and started on Pole. But, on the start, Wills took the lead before the first turn. Alan challenged for the next few laps until he was finally able to make a pass and go ahead to finish in the lead. The finishing lineup was McCallum in first followed by Paul Ravaris of Texas AutoSports in second and Stewart Rettie in Third.
On Sunday, Wills took Pole in qualifying and again took the lead on the start. Another chase ensued, but ended when Wills spun off track, allowing McCallum to take the lead once again for a second win of the weekend. Sunday's top finishing order was McCallum, Rettie, and Ravaris.

Alan McCallum brings home a 3rd Place finish on Saturday, but suffers a crash Sunday at VIR.
April 18-20, 2014
Alan McCallum Racing traveled to Virginia in late April to Virginia International Raceway for the VIR Spring Sprints. Although it was his first visit to this track, a recent complete resurfacing made the track challenging even for those who had raced there often in the past.
On Saturday, Alan reached the podium with a Third Place finish. And on Sunday, after a couple of days learning the track and experimenting with different setups, Alan seemed to have a #19 car that was ready to perform well enough to compete with the Pole sitter Robert Noell, the Third Place finisher at the National Runoffs the previous September. But, first Alan would have to find a way around the second FM on the grid, Bruce Lawrence. Alan moved into position behind Lawrence early in the race, and a close battle followed for the next eight laps with McCallum putting in the best FM Class time of the race. Then, in lap eight his car lost grip in turn 11 and sailed off track to crash into the tire wall, putting an end to the day for Alan. Thankfully, he was uninjured, but the car will require major repairs before the next race.

On Saturday, Alan started the race in second for FM behind polesitter Moses Smith of Texas Autosports. In lap five, Alan was able to pass Moses and then hold the lead for the win.
With Saturday's race time setting the grid for Sunday, Alan started on pole and gradually stretched out a sizable lead before taking his second win of the weekend and improving on his existing track record with a new record of 1:13.889. A very satisfying weekend!

In March, Alan McCallum Racing traveled to Decatur, TX, to participate in its first race weekend of the 2014 season, the second Majors weekend of the Mid States Majors Conference at Eagles Canyon Raceway. It was an exciting weekend as some of the best competition in Formula Mazda was in attendance.
As storm clouds gathered to the south, Saturday's race saw Alan pressing hard in an attempt to get around Moses Smith of Texas Autosports who was running in second place. As rain began to come down during the last couple of laps, Moses and Alan exchanged spins allowing Mike Anderson of California to get around them both to take second behind the leader Darryl Wills with Alan rounding out the podium in third.
On Sunday, an early collision in turn 1 put an end to the race for Alan's #19 car.

Starting from second position in FA, Alan finished the thirty minute race 6.579 seconds in the lead in his class with a best time of 1:20.257, a time that was only 1.2 seconds short of the track record.
Unfortunately, the win was voided with a disqualification for passing a car in a different class under a local yellow flag. In spite of the DQ, Alan was very pleased with the weekend. He said his goal was to get some seat time in the Formula Atlantic, and that overall the weekend was a success.

Alan McCallum takes a 4th Place finish at the 2013 SCCA Runoffs
Road America, Elkhart Lake, WI
September 21, 2013
The week of September 16-22, SCCA celebrated its 50th annual SCCA Runoffs and its last year for the event to be held at the famous Road America racetrack in Elkhart Lake, WI. The week's Formula Mazda schedule included one practice session on Monday followed by a Qualifying session each day for the next three days to set the starting grid for Saturday's race for the National Championship. Alan was able to put in a good qualifying session on Tuesday with the second fastest time, .36 seconds behind Doug Peterson who put in the fastest lap. Tuesday's times would end up determining the starting grid for the race as Wednesday's and Thursday's Qualifying sessions were met with rains leaving little chance for competitors to improve positions. However, by Saturday's race time, a cold front had blown through bringing clear skies.
On the start, two cars midway back in the lineup wrecked at the start/finish line resulting in a black flag and subsequent restart. On the restart, Alan was close on Doug Peterson, the pole sitter, through the first turn, then Darryl Wills, the 2011 and 2010 Runoffs Champion shot past them both and into the lead. In the remaining ten laps of the race Alan battled for second place, passing Peterson and then swapping positions several times with Brian Lift in the No. 29 car before finally being overtaken by Robert Noell on the last lap to finish 4th.

Last weekend was the joint Finale for the Mid States and Northern Majors Conferences at Gateway Motorsports Park just east of St. Louis, MO. Having already captured the Mid States Majors Conference Championship prior to the event, Alan, racing with the Texas Autosports team, was eager to take this last opportunity to go for the National Points Championship in Formula Mazda. Alan's weekend was a great success with two poles and two wins. Other Texas Autosports team drivers Collin Kearby and Conner Kearby, with GK Motorsports, rounded out the podium both days. A second place finish for Collin in Race 2 gave him a second place trophy in the Mid States Majors Conference, while dad Gaston Kearby walked away with the Mid States Majors Conference Championship in Formula Atlantic.
Winning the National Points Championship was the final achievement this year that makes Alan one of only a few drivers eligible to win the coveted Super Sweep when he defends his 2012 National Championship title at the Runoffs at Road America in September.

Alan McCallum grabs back-to-back wins at Hallett and smashes previous Track Records
Jennings, OK
April 6-7, 2013
In April, Alan McCallum Racing traveled to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Oklahoma for Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2013 SCCA Majors Tour in the Mid-States Conference. Having had a successful weekend here a year ago with two wins and a Track Record, Alan hoped to add to his current points lead in the Majors Tour at this challenging track. And, the weekend did not disappoint.
On Saturday, Alan grabbed Pole in the FM Class in qualifying. But, when the green flag flew, Alan went off-track before the first turn to avoid contact with another car. Meanwhile, the #23 car of 2011 National Champion, Darryl Wills, took the FM lead followed closely by Timothy Reger in the #19 car. Regaining the track at the back of the field, Alan spent the next 15 laps slowly working his way through the field to catch the leaders. On Lap 16 Alan made a move to pass Wills and Reger in the braking zone of Turn 2. Reger and Wills then made contact allowing Alan to secure the lead and subsiquently the win and a new track lap record of 1:14.005.
Sunday, Alan grabbed the top spot again in qualifying with a blistering lap of 1:13.724. Wills got a great start in the race and was able to pass Alan in the turn 2 breaking zone on the first lap. Alan spent the entire race on the heels of Wills looking for an opportunity to pass the experienced and savvy racer. That opportunity came on the last lap of the race when Wills ran a little wide exiting turn 5 and Alan was able to squeeze by and take the win.

Alan McCallum takes first win for Formula Mazda at Circuit of The Americas
Austin, TX
March 8-10, 2013
This weekend was the exciting first trip for SCCA to the amazing new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX. Built in 2012, Circuit of The Americas or COTA entered the record books last November as the first purpose-built Formula 1™ racetrack in the country to host its own Grand Prix. For SCCA drivers, this weekend was the chance of a lifetime to drive the 3.4 mile track. Consequently, the fields in all classes saw drivers who had traveled from all parts of the country for a chance to participate.
Although the weather was misty Thursday and Friday during practices and threatening Saturday, the track was dry by the time the FMs went out in last afternoon.
Alan started Saturday's race in fourth position behind pole sitter Darryl Wills, Carson Weeder of Florida, and Timothy Reger of Houston. In a race that saw only one yellow flag on part of the track, Alan took the checker first at the end of the 30 minute, 13 lap race. On Sunday, skies had cleared leaving perfect track conditions. Nevertheless, there were multiple wrecks in other car classes during the race resulting in only four full race laps completed. Alan ended the race where he started in second behind Wills with Jamie Slone of Tucson, AZ, rounding out the podium.

Alan McCallum sets a new Track Record in 2013 Season Opener at MSR Houston, Houston, TX
February 23-34, 2013
Last weekend was the 2013 season opener for the SCCA Southwest Division Formula Car Challenge at MSR Houston. It was a great weekend of stiff competition with a field of six Formula Mazdas. Alan McCallum, the 2012 National Champions, and Darryl Wills, National Champion in 2010 and 2011, went head to head for the first time since the Runoffs last September. In Saturday's race, Wills started on pole with Alan starting fourth behind two Formula Atlantics and another Formula Mazda driven by Timothy Reger, also of Houston, TX. At the finish it was Wills, McCallum and Reger on the podium in that order. Sunday Wills again qualified on pole with Alan qualifying second this time and Reger third. A spin off track sent Alan to the back of the field midway through the race while Reger pressured Wills. At the finish, it was Wills, Reger and Dave Zavelson on the podium. Meanwhile, Alan set a new track record of 1:30.042, outpacing all classes, while charging back to finish in fourth.

Alan McCallum Wins the 2012 SCCA National Championship at Road America
September 20, 2012
The SCCA National Runoffs are the pinnacle of amateur racing in the USA, a place where only the top competitors from across the country are eligible to compete for the title of National Champion in their car class. In Formula Mazda this year a field of thirteen cars lined up on the grid behind ten Formula Enterprise cars in a split start for the 13 lap/30 minute race on Thursday, September 20th in the last race of the day.
After getting only one short run in three days of qualifying, Alan lined up on the grid in the 11th FM position with his work cut out for him. Once the green flag flew, he quickly began working his way past cars to move into 5th place by the end of lap 2. The four cars between him and the lead included two previous national champions. After four more laps in 5th place, Alan continued his march toward the front until finally overtaking the leader and pole sitter Doug Peterson on lap 10. Alan held onto the lead for the last three laps to claim the FM title of 2012 National Champion.

Alan McCallum was on track last weekend at this year's GoPro Formula Car Challenge Grand Prix of Sonoma. Always a fun and exciting event, this was also designated as the 2012 Formula Car Challenge Championships. The #19 car was plagued with mechanical problems Friday and Saturday that hampered qualifying for Saturday's race. In spite of starting Race 1 in 16th position, Alan was able to work his way forward to finish the race in 5th position.
With each competitor's fastest lap during Saturday's race setting the grid for Sunday, Alan started in 5th position. Sunday's race saw multiple wrecks eat up the 30 minute clock, and after just eight full race laps, Alan finished the race in 6th. Prior to race time, many of the fans attending the high profile weekend stopped by the #19 car pit, giving Alan a great opportunity to meet and greet and to show off the awesome Sbyke® scooter for our friends at Sbyke USA.

May 4-6, 2012
Alan McCallum Racing made its first trip this weekend to Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth, Texas. It was Alan's third Formula Car Challenge race weekend of the 2012 season. In Saturday's race, Alan started in last place after missing qualifying, but shot into second in the field of nine FMs before the second turn. The rest of the race was a battle for the lead with George Jackson in the #06 car racing for Texas AutoSports. Alan and George each took turns in the lead until Alan's car had to pull into the pits with a fuel issue. Jackson went on to finish first followed by Dave Zavelsen and Russ Lindemann.
Sunday's qualifying put Jackson and Alan one and two on the grid. Once again they swapped turns in the lead until Jackson's car suffered a mechanical problem, taking him crashing into the wall. Alan went on to win the race. Stuart Rettie, in his third car of the weekend, finished second and Russ Lindemann again finished third.

Alan puts it back in the win column both days at Hallett
April 14-15, 2012
This weekend brought Alan some big opportunities in his first trip to Hallett Motor Racing Circuit in Hallett, OK. It was the second weekend in the Southwest Region Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear, giving Alan an opportunity to gain points in that series. Plus, Sunday's race was one of only a few races that are included in the BF Goodrich Tires Super Tour. SCCA's Ark Valley Race Group and the Hallett track managers put on an excellent weekend of racing for The Green Country Grand Prix.
This proved to be Alan's weekend as he captured the pole and the win both Saturday and Sunday, and blew through the previous FM track record on Saturday. Although he broke that record during Sunday's race with a 1:15.07, it was broken again before the race was over by close competitor, George Jackson, racing for Texas Autosports with a 1:14.89. It was exciting racing both days, as Alan took the lead in front of a CSR car temporarily Saturday and then for 10 laps on Sunday.

Alan brings home two 2nd Place Trophies at Texas World Speedway in the first Formula Car Challenge weekend of 2012 Season
March 10-11, 2012
This weekend was the Formula Car Challenge season opener for the SCCA Southwest Region. In addition to battling each other on the track, drivers had to contend with rains so heavy that the paddock area was flooded in many places. Saturday's race was run mostly under the yellow caution flag as one car after another left the track in the rain. In a bold move on the start, Alan took the lead from pole sitter Stuart Rettie. Rettie later regained the lead to finish in first with Alan second and Davis Parr third.
Sunday morning's qualifying was discontinued after two laps when a heavy storm arrived, and the rest of the morning's track activities were cancelled until after lunch. By mid-afternoon the worst of the weather had moved through. However, the track was still wet enough for rain tires when the race began. Rettie was on pole once again, the field having been set from the previous day's finish. Alan passed Stuart and led most of the race with Rettie pressuring until the last lap when Rettie got a chance to go ahead again as Alan was forced off the track into the flooded grass to avoid a collision with another car. In spite of the mishap, Alan was able to get back on track and race to the finish line, overtaking Russ Lindemann in the final straightaway to take Second once again.

Alan McCallum began the 2012 racing season this weekend with the Houston Region Hoedown Double Regional/Double National at MSR Houston. This was Alan's first race outing at MSR, having missed the weekend last year due to weather. This year the weather was perfect, and it was good to get back in the car following his 3rd place finish at the SCCA National Championships back in September. Alan grabbed the pole position both Saturday and Sunday, and finished both days in 2nd place. During Sunday's race, Alan set a new FM Track Record of 1:30.10!
The Texas Autosports crew had the #19 car running perfectly, helping Alan to clock the fastest time and speeds of the weekend including a blistering 1:29.971 in Sunday's qualifying run. During Saturday's race, Alan led the field until a spin midway through the race put him behind a fast Stuart Rettie in the #21 car to finish the race in Second. On Sunday another trip off-track early in the race put Alan behind Rettie once again. This time engine overheating forced Alan into the pits a couple of laps later to clear the sidepod vents, putting him at the back of the nine car field. Not to be deterred, Alan spent the rest of the race picking off cars one by one to once again finish in Second place while Stuart Rettie chalked up another win.

Alan Captures a Spot on the Podium at his first Runoffs.
September 19-25, 2011
The week of September 19-25 was the 2011 SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Road America in Wisconsin. The culmination of the year's racing season, the Runoffs are by invitation only, with drivers earning the right to attend by meeting specific racing achievements during the current season. It is truly a chance to compete against the best of the best from across the country. This was Alan McCallum's first trip to the Runoffs due to a schedule conflict the previous year. It was a chance for Alan to once again go head-to-head with the top FM drivers after narrowly missing the podium at Infineon in August and suffering another disappointment at the NASA Championships at Mid-Ohio earlier in September. This time, Alan was not to be denied a trophy. Alan pulled into second place on the start behind Peterson who shot to the lead. Alan and Darryl Wills battled side by side through several turns during the first lap of the 4.0 mile track until Wills finally pulled ahead into second and took off after the leader. Alan held his position for the remainder of the race to come in third behind first place and Triple Crown/Super Sweep winner Darryl Wills and second place Doug Peterson, both multiple year champions.

The 2011 NASA Formula Car Challenge National Championships at Mid-Ohio saw top Formula Mazda drivers from across the country and Canada meet for the chance to compete for the title of National Champion. Alan, the defending 2010 National Champion in FM, was making his first visit to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course near Lexington, OH. Intermittent rain showers all week had teams scrambling at race time each day to get out on track with the best choice of tires for the track conditions. In Thursday's Qualifying Race 1, Alan finished in 4th position, then Friday he crossed the finish line in 2nd Place while posting the best lap time of the race. With the third fastest qualifying time for the week, Alan started Saturday's championship race in third position behind Doug Peterson on Pole and Darryl Wills in second. Austin Newmark, this year's winner of the Bondurant Racing Series and also running under the Texas Autosports banner, started in sixth position. The field took the track on rain tires after a hard rain during the previous race. Even so, track conditions would be a big factor as the cars running in front spun rounding the first turn after the start, quickly causing a traffic jam. Alan was able to maneuver through the chaos, but not without his left wing making contact with Darryl Wills' back right tire. Moving out in front, Alan lead the rest of lap one, but damage to the car's front wings caused braking problems that would send the him off track into China Beach on lap two. By race end, Wills had fight his way back to the front to finish in first followed by Zachary Silver in second, and pole sitter Doug Peterson in third.

Alan finishes 4th both days at Infineon but puts in a great performance.
August 27-28, 2011
In August, Alan and Moses Smith of Texas Autosports returned to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA, for the GoPro Formula Car Challenge presented by Goodyear GP as one of the main supporting events for the INDYCAR GP of Sonoma. Having won back to back races at this event in 2010, Alan and the team were looking forward to another fun and exciting weekend. This year didn't disappoint with a field of 22 Formula Mazdas taking to the track including some of the country's fastest competitors. Alan clocked the fastest times during Thursday's practice.
In Friday afternoon's Qualifying 1 session Alan struggled to get in a fast lap in his #19 car, qualifying in fifth position. Saturday morning promised faster times with cooler weather and a fresh track, but battling with car setup, Alan qualified in sixth position for Saturday's race. Starting sixth for Saturday's race, Alan made a quick dash into second after the start only to be forced to give up the position to Slone a couple of turns later. Mid-way through the race, Mike Anderson got back around to regain third, pushing Alan into fourth. The Saturday podium was Wills, Slone and Anderson. With Saturday's race finish determining the lineup for race 2 on
Sunday, Alan started in fourth position. However, after some minor tweaks to the car following Saturday's race, the #19 car was running perfectly, and Alan was able to pass Anderson and Slone over the first half of the race and set out for Wills, who had pulled out ahead of the pack considerably and was leading the race running away. The rest of the race saw Alan slowly closing the gap between him and Wills. By the time the white flag flew Alan was within striking distance of the leader. But, it was not to be this day, as Alan suddenly spun off track in the first turn. Although he quickly regained the track, the mishap was enough to allow both Slone and Anderson to pass him. Sunday's finishing order was Wills, Anderson, and Slone with Alan retaining fourth place once again. It was a heartbreaker finish for Alan who had driven an outstanding race.

Alan suffers a disappointing crash at Road America
June 17-19, 2011
Alan's first trip to Road America served as a chance to see some new competition and to get some valuable seat time in at this legendary track in preparation for the SCCA Finals coming up in September. The first two days of qualifying were plagued by mechanical problems, but by race time on Sunday, the car was up to speed and ready to compete. Starting from the fifth position in FM, in a field that included over 40 FA, FC, and FM cars, Alan got off to a productive start, moving quickly into third place coming out of the second turn. Unfortunately, a spin soon left him deep in the pack and having to gradually fight his way back toward the leaders. With just two laps to go, a Formula Atlantic close in front of Alan suffered a sudden engine problem. Alan veered to the left in an attempt to avoid the slowing car, but the unfortunate timing and location sent Alan off the track, causing him to collide with a wall under a bridge in a violent crash that wiped out the left side of the car. The impact sent him careening into a sand pit and landed him against a concrete barrier. He was unhurt, but the car will need some major repairs before the next race. Race control scored Alan with a 10th place finish, completing nine of eleven laps.

Alan brings home a win at Texas World Speedway
May 28-29, 2011 at Texas World
Alan returned to Texas World Speedway this weekend for a second time with the goal of improving his record at this Texas track where he finished second and fourth two months before. This time it was with the Texas Autosports camp which was recently acquired by Moses Smith. The Texas summer was in full swing with temperatures touching 98 degrees. Added to the temperatures were high winds gusting to 30 mph. In Saturday's race, Alan was able to pilot his #19 Formula Mazda to his first Texas victory. On Sunday it was Darrell Wills finishing first followed by Davis Parr with Alan McCallum rounding out the podium finishing in third place. The weekend set a good tone heading to Road America for the SCCA June Sprints.

Alan's first appearance in his home state of Texas brings second place
and fourth place finishes at Texas World Speedway
March 4-6, 2011 at Texas World
Alan McCallum made his debut appearance on a Texas race track March 4-6, 2011, when he and Moses Smith Racing brought his #19 Formula Mazda to Texas World Speedway in College Station, TX, for the Lone Star Region's SCCA Super Tour Texas Two Step. This much anticipated weekend brought Alan the opportunity to go up against the 2010 SCCA National Champion, Darryl Wills of Deer Park, TX, plus the No. 2 on the podium at Nationals, Mike Anderson from Anza, CA. Alan and Darryl had faced each other once previously last August at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA, where Alan came away with back to back wins while Darryl battled car trouble both days. This was Alan's first matchup with Mike Anderson who races Star Mazda as well as Formula Mazda.
Saturday morning brought a rainy track for qualifying and once again at race time with Darryl, Mike and Alan qualifying 1, 2, and 3 in a field of eleven Formula Mazdas. During the race, Alan suffered two off track excursions, one resulting in a mandatory stop in the pits, ending with a fourth place finish behind Darry, Mike and Stuart Rettie, also of Houston. By race time Sunday, the sun was out and the track was dry. Wills, Anderson and McCallum once again qualified 1, 2, 3, but when it came time to move from the grid onto the track, Darryl Wills was unable to start his #1 car. Mike Anderson led the entire race followed closely by Alan with Russell Lindemann of Longmont, CO coming in third. Alan will return to Texas World Speedway again at the end of May.
Arizona Region SCCA Snowbird Double National - January 16-17, 2011 Results: 1st, 1st
A double dose of victory to start off the 2011 season for
Alan
McCallum and the Moses Smith Racing team
January 16-17, 2011
Alan McCallum, in his #19 Formula Mazda, kicked off the 2011 racing season January
16 & 17, at Phoenix International Raceway, at the Arizona Region SCCA Snowbird
Double National. The Event took place over the Martin Luther King Memorial Weekend,
with testing on Saturday and both Regional and National races on Sunday and Monday.
Sunday, the top spot on the starting grid was claimed by Jamie Sloneʼs #6, GoPro
Formula Mazda, with Alan following closely behind securing the second spot. After a
long wait on the starting grid, the race got underway, only to see a red flag when two
cars crashed leading into the first turn, sending Alan into the dirt to avoid the incident.
While waiting on the grid there was some miscommunication regarding the excess
earth Alanʼs car had accumulated from his off road excursion, that nearly landed him at
the back of the line up. Moses Smith made the call on the radio to leave the car as it
was and take a gamble that fortunately paid off. Still behind Jamie Slone, the restart was a clean one. Mid way
through the 29 lap race, Alan was able to pass Jamie and slowly extend his lead,
ultimately securing his first win of 2011. Sunday, qualifying on pole and leading every
lap of the race, pressured once again by Jamie Slone, Alan McCallum with the help of
Moses Smith Racing turned his 2011 season opener into back-to-back first place
finishes.

Alan McCallum wins 2010 NASA National Championship
September 16-18, 2010
This weekend was the first time Alan
McCallum would
once again
battle his
old rival
Neil Alberico
from the Bondurant
Championship
Series in which
Alan finished
third behind
Neil and Jamie
Slone. With
only one practice
session under
his belt on
Wednesday,
Alan battled
to stay on
track Thursday
and Friday
during Qualifying
Races #1 and
#2, but still
managed to
finish second
both days behind
Neil. By the
time Saturday's
Championship
Race rolled
around, Alan
had his #19
Formula Mazda sticking to
the track.
Starting from
second place,
Alan gained
the lead on
the straightaway,
then was passed
by Neil in
the first turn.
But, Alan quickly
regained the
lead and kept
it for the
rest of the
race, clocking
the fastest
time of the
weekend at
1:47.702 on
the 3.0 mi.
Miller Motorsports
Park road course.
It was a sweet
victory that
not only crowned
Alan the 2010
NASA National
Champion in
FM, but also earned him a nice cash
award from
MAZDASPEED
and an invitation
to the MAZDASPEED MX5 Shootout
where he will
compete for

a great finish

Alan McCallum takes home back to back wins at Infineon
August 21-22, 2010
It was an exciting Indy Car Weekend
at Infineon
Raceway August
21-22 . Alan
McCallum returned
to Sonoma after
winning there
in June to see if he could
add to his
success on
the track.
With 23 Standard
Formula Mazdas
on the grid,
it was a really
challenging
weekend with
lots of great
competition.
In the end,
Alan swept
the weekend,
placing his
#19 FM on pole
both Saturday
and Sunday,
and driving
hard to bring
home the win
both days.

well as Alan

two of the
